Hi Guys! I am so excited to be posting
another diy project on the blog. It’s my little peach lace play suit.
This fabric is part of the pile of the ‘I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SEW WITH YOU FABRIC STASH’. If you’re a fabric whore like me, I’m sure you can relate.
I got the fabric 2 years ago as aso-ebi for my friend’s wedding –the wedding was lit by the way– and I had a big patch of the lace left after I made my dress for the wedding. I think about 2 yards.
I had no clue what to do with this fabric actually. I just didn’t want another dress from the same lace fabric. After thinking long and hard, the idea of a play suit was born.
The play suit isn’t my best sew to be honest. There’s gaping in the armhole, which could have been avoided if only I closed out a dart in the pattern I made. Anyway we can’t be perfect all the time.
Generally I love the fit of the play suit, it sits well on me without any discomfort.
Check out more pictures of the play suit below. See you in the next Post.
